COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saku's oldest beer.
Saku Hele is a light special brew with a strong taste of hops and a pleasant aroma, which has been developed together with Czech master brewers. Saku Hele is brewed according to one of Saku’s oldest recipes in honour of Valerian Baggo, the lord of Saku Manor, who established a truly industrial brewery from the manor’s small brewery.

A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is of brewmash and corn, while the flavor is sweet and sour both with notes of malt and corn, and also slight notes of metal.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Golden with a fairly huge and stable head. Quite hoppy but the hops don’t really that much aroma. Pretty decent beer actually, just completely lacking personality. Exciting back-label in Estonian - I’m completely lost in that language.... 071102

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear yellow, small head. Light grassy nose with some buttery slim malt behind. Clean, rounded mouthfeel. A mere hint of boiled vegetables, surprisingly evident spicy bitterness. A step above most of Saku’s truly industrial products.

Bottled. Clear yellow, white bubbly head which disappears quickly. Very hoppy aroma with some sweetish hints. Strong malitsh and hoppy taste. A bit dry finish, standard lager and rich carbonation.

Bottle, 5.2%. Dusty aroma, ashtray, sourish. Hazy yellow colour. Small frothy white head. Citric flavour, a bit lambicky. Also some buttery maltiness. Not so clean, but goes down nevertheless.

Of Saku’s pale beers, this is the fullest and hoppiest one. That said, another Estonian brewery, Sillamae, has a far superior Hele.
