Commercial Description:
Saku Kuld - the most brilliant brew of Estonia's oldest brewery, the crème de la crème of beers. A masterpiece combining the brewing traditions of two centuries with the newest technology. It's rich bouquet combines the robustness of Nordic barley malt and the velvety taste of aroma hop from sunny Hallertau.

Blossoming pale foam; straw gold hue. Soft continental hops over timid pale malts and a surprising note of tropical fruits. Fairly attenuated; brisk malts give to vegetal hops and a drying finish. Slick texture and quickly diminishing carbonation.

Unclean at times, feels half completed at others.

50 cl can, best before 18.08.2008.

Sweetish malty and a bit grassy aroma. Sweets malts, a bit grass and lemon in flavor. Thin mouthfeel.

Can 0,5l. Pale golden colored. A shortlived small creamy head. Strange aroma and flavor of medicine. Some modest malty taste in the finish. Bad aftertaste. Something tells me this beer is off - but drunk two months before expiry date.

500 ml can, thanks to KnutAlbert. ABV is 4.5%. Normally the "export" version of a beer is stronger than the "ordinary" version, but in this case it is weaker! Crystal clear very pale golden colour, big white head. Moderate fruity aroma, citrus and candy. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and sugary, with minimal hops. Not much to write home about here - nor to export.

50 cl can from a Finnish grocery store. Rather malty beer, but it is nothing above the ordinary. Some hops add al little, but there is not enough dryness to make up for the malty sugar. No need for all the colourful boasts on the can!
