COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saku Kuld – a modern classic, the absolute elite of Estonian beers, a combination of Saku’s hundreds-of-years-old brewing traditions, and the newest technology. With a rich taste, foam, and aroma, a delicate balance of freshness and mildness characterizes the taste of Saku Kuld. The freshness comes from Nordic oat malt and velvety smoothness is added to the refined bouquet by Hallertau hops. In addition, Saku Kuld is characterized by a clear colour and thick firm foam. Saku Kuld is sold in unique bottles with a relief of the Saku arms.

Can. Pours a medium gold with a muddy malt aroma. Flavour is sweet metallic malt. Finish a little dry.

Nothing wrong with this beer and nothing special about it either. Just the perfect exemple of an ordinary pale lager.

Bottle enjoyed at home
Golden clear, big big white head. Smells of straws and dust. Taste is very sweet, thin body still. Not pleasent. Also grain and sourness. Feel is watry and the finish is not very hoppy or bitter

ClubGonzo (1732) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 6, 2011
Bottle. Standard pale lager looks to the eyes. Grainy hints of cooked veggies to the nose. Blandness and a bit of alcohol to the palate. Not a very good score to the Ratebeer. Forgettable.

Pretty much a standard Pale Lager / Premium Lager / Pilsener. Scored accordinly. Does nothing wrong really.

Tried as a sample, this one had a bit more body going for than the original, some melon notes in the taste but not much else.

rauchbier (3135) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2011
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze, Brigg. Faintly hazy gold, thin but lasting white head and moderate condition. Vaguely fruity esters initialy in the nose with trace pineapple notes, soft and slightly chalky in the mouth with a gentle hop bitterness and a trace of sweet fruity maltiness, short finish with some sweetness and a touch more chalkiness.
