3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear reddish cola-colored brown beer. Makes little blonde head which disappears soon. Aroma is sugary sweet, little loafy bready and roasted malty. Taste is salty licoricy sweet with roasted and loafy bready malts. Mouthfeel is only medium full and slick with pretty strong carbonation. Finish is pretty short with not much carbonation. An easily drinkable and sweet Baltic Porter, not bad at all.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nearly black color with a big white head. Aroma is malty with dark bread and rye pudding, also some metallic notes. Taste is roasty but also sweet. Maltiness is moderate, the mouthfeel very soft and medium to full bodied. Flavours include rye bread, some chocolate and a hint of licorice. Alcohol does not feature. Well, this was decent but not up to the top Finnish porters like Sinebrychoff Porter or Malmgårds porters.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Dark colour, red undertones, very little head. Caramel and raisin aroma. Taste is much the same, slight tobacco. reminds me of a dark Belgian without the yeast. Average body. Overall, a pleasant surprise.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From bottle. Almost black in color with lots of dark tan head. Aroma is sweet prune juice. Taste is sweet syrup, prune, with a hint of roasting. Reminds me more of a doppelbock than a porter. Quite sweet finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Melko pliisu olut, hajusta voisi kuvitella tummaksi lageriksi. Maku oli kuitenkin hajua monipuolisempi, joka pelasti.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2013 That is another classic...Somehow I feared this could be as disappointing as the Baltika 6. Nice dark brown, with an incredibly thick creamy head. The nose is very sweet. Malzbier or Karamalz, cloying. But the flavours are much more agreeable, with salty licorice, Vegemite, some yogurt sourness and a nice bitterness that drives it all away from the cloying suggestion on the nose. This Saku porter is actually so well balanced that, with its rather thin body, it is refreshing even on a hot summer day.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.5 bottle. Enormous, brownish head topping a pitch-black liquid and leaving some thin lacing. Strong malty aroma; caramel, berries, metal and hints of molasses. Bittersweet taste, mostly malty with a lot of berries, light chocolate, hints of liquorice and a tad of alcohol. Full body, slick/thick texture and soft carbonation. Finish is relatively short, medium-long at most, follows the taste but there is more molasses in it. Overall the beer is really good and surprisingly drinkable for a porter, could have a bit stronger character especially in regards to the finish which seems rather watery for a porter.
