3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2008 500ml Bottle.
Baltic version of "porter" - more like a stout. Good at all temperatures, refreshing cool even though it’s sweet and strong. Ignore the label - this isn’t "smooth". This is a dragster ride with thick black tyres and smoking tarmac! The first drop will cover your tongue with a spicy sweet stoutness. Punchy burnt maltiness in abundance.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
50cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Very dark brown to black color with a nice deep dark red glare coming through. Full sized beige to light brown head that lasts for a decent while. Smell malts, dark malts, leaves and slightly sweet. Low to medium carbonation and body. Bit disappointing imo.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. [thank you, oh6gdx]
Pours almost black with just some red edges. A big, frothy, off-white head - fine duration. Very pleasant sweet maltiness, some chocolate and roasted malts. Medium carbonation, super mouthfeel - good dryness. Flavour starts with just a tad of metal, but afterwards there are super fine roasted malts, dry hops, chocolate. Super fantastic long dry aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled: Pitch black coloured. Fluffy brown head. LIght roasty and light burnt maltnotes in the nose. Some cocoa and liqourice as well. Roast, cocoa, burnt flavours. Alcohol and sweetness in the end. Very warming on the lips. Not the most excelling sample of the style, but still a quite good beer.
