Bottle at the Lithuanian festival. Opaque dark brown with a light foamy head. Medium body and medium carbonation. Tastes like malt, dates, figs, toffee. Smells like plums.

50cl botte at my hotel room in Narva. Pours clear mahogany with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits and a hint of caramel and alcohol. Well balanced and surprisingly easy to drink. Sweet and a bit chocolaty with a very mild bitterness. Deserty and warming.

Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours dark brown with an interesting tan head and a chocolate aroma. There is a smooth licorice and treacle flavor with no carbonation. Lots of good flavor.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy dark brown colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is of liqourice and malt, leading to a stong bitter flavour with lots of alcohol inspired liqourice and dark chocolate. It’s a rather nice porter, but the alcohol is starting to take over a little which does not improve the flavour.

Muddy brown with light brown head that fades quickly. Aroma is cocoa and hard lake water, grassy. Body is light, coarse, prickly carbonation, slightly syrupy. Mild aftertaste. pleasant but too much blah yeast/lake water aroma.

Dark brown color, medium beige head. Faint aroma of caramel, coffee and roasted malts with strong metallic notes. Taste is sweet with gently dry finish and pleasant chocolate aftertaste, has caramel, malts, dark fruits, chocolate and salty notes. Light body and medium carbonation, alcohol is very well hidden. Nice beer, maybe too light for a porter, but very drinkable and tasty.

Bottle @ home. Brown pour, off-white head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, chocolate, slightly buttery and creamy. Flavor is sweet sugary roasted malts, smooth texture and with a deccent body. Nice brew, but a bit too smooth and clean, industrial.

Pours black with a thick and lasting tan head. Aroma of sweet and grainy European malt with hint of grass and chocolate candy. Flavor follows: sweet grains, some chocolate, hint of grass.

Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head.
Nose is roast malt, light coffee tones, dark fruits, toffee.
Taste comprises dark malt, hint of chocolate, dark treacle toffee, molasses, tar, leather, slightly burnt aspects.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation lending towards a dry finish.
Pretty basic average fayre with zero hidden depths for a 6.9% Baltic Porter !

Poured two and half fingers on a pitch black body. The head was quickly gone though.
The aroma is faint: roasted and black malt.
The taste is darkness with a sweet touch. Burnt and roasted malt with a sweet finish.
The texture is smooth with low carbonation.
It’s lacking in the smell area but the taste is nice.
