3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jb (1540) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Very sweet candy sugar nose. Pleasant enough, but simple. Similar taste along with cocoa in the palate. Appearance is brown and hazy, very modest lacing. Not complex but I liked it.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 kingstoni (157) - FINLAND - DEC 28, 2011
Can. Dark amber colour with a minimal creamy head. Mild aroma is caramel and roasted malt. Taste is mostly alcohol with roasted malt. Oily but a bit watery texture.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cornfield (5239) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 27, 2011
Pouring a clear chestnut body with a decent tan head, this has an aroma of caramel covered bread, some dark stone fruit, and a subtle smokiness. The flavor is sweet caramel and fruit, never getting cloying, almost balanced by a mild woody bitterness. For some reason is hitting the spot tonight.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thooper41 (465) - Oregon, USA - DEC 23, 2011
500 mL bottle: Appearance is a ruby/brown mixture in color with minimal off white head that quickly fades. Aroma is slightly fruity with hints of caramel. Flavor is again a mixture of caramel and fruit, but also contains a distinct off flavor that doesn’t kill the beer, but definitely takes away from it.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thomat (1100) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2011
Amber with a medium, tan head. Fruity with malty notes. Malt, caramel and fruit. Medium body with a nice, bitter sweet finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ccex (119) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Saku Tume - the name made me think of Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In. The beer socked it to me pretty well, too. Bottle pours a very dark copper color with a substantial light tan head. Smells reminded me of bread and toasted malts. Aroma is a little on the yeasty side. Medium body with not much carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet at first with a more bitter, but pleasant finish. I’ll try this one again
2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 mzaar (352) - Varberg, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2011
Nästan svart öl med ett skum som snart lägger sig. Inte mycket doft att tala om, men desto mer i smaken, där det finns karamell, mörk sirap och en trevlig sötma.
