First tasted this at the Paisley Beer Festival in April 2004. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear golden amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong lemon rind in the zesty aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a juicy citric fruit notes of kiwi, lime and then more bitter notes of fresh lemon and grapefruit. Strong hop resins give a dry bitter astringent flavours full in the aftertaste. Lemony hops continue into the finish with dry astringency sucking moisture from the mouth. A decent session Golden Ale but too astringent for me.
