3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Again, this has nothing to do with beer. So looking at it that way it should get a 1 on all criteria. But I’m gonna rate it just the way it tasted. Drink it on a hot sweaty day and don’t think of beer. It’ll be fine if you like light tequila flavors.

I had one in my last winter vacation. Somewhat sweet taste. Not too strong of a flavour - I liked it for having dinner. Not a bad beer for the usual clubbing.

Bottle shared with McTapps. I know, it is artificial but I love the first nose when you open the bottle. Rest of aroma is maybe beer, but first you have that pissy citrus or so. Taste is OK. Bit simple beer and bit citrus. Drinkable.

Another beer mix, and as with all the others this isn’t anything special. A clean glass bottle of 330 ml. I poured some in a small glass just to witness the head and the rest drunk from the bottle. Colour as one can easily see from the transparent glass bottle is golden yellow. A thin white head which left me very fast, and so did the bubbles who were at first present.
Now, on my bottle says that this is 58% beer and 42% soft drink, but it doesn’t say anything about tequila, at least not in english or dutch. In other languages it mentions something about tequila, but I can’t really get it. Anyhow, I personally don’t smell any tequila, which is a good thing, I smell though a strong lime aroma. Well, that sums it up.
Taste is sort of sweet at first, but the aftertaste is mostly sour from the citrus.
Heavily carbonated and with a light body.
Not so much different than the other tequila flavored beers out there, maybe it’s nice out in the sun, drinking it on a beach bar.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2007 ATVing around the Aruban desert and then to its downtown is one of the damn finest things I had hoped to aspire to in life. Then, to make things even better, I picked up a Salitos, given to me by a shady bus driver parked at a nude beach. What more debauchery could I have found, all in one place? I gladly took the beer in my hand, and numbed by the ATV motor, chugged the whole thing. Laughing defiantly at the “Don’t drink and ATV” sticker next to the steering I kicked the break out and sped out onto the sand. But the preceding and proceeding events have no bearing on this beer. The tequila drenched lager was amazingly refreshing. So good that I became frustrated with my own mortal dimensions that withheld me from truly appreciating how good that felt after 3 hours of skidding across the terrain in the skin melting sun. The added tequila flavor completely overrides any beer that might have been in the bottle, and just in case there are a few last vestiges of brew that might have slipped in, the brewery gushed a good three of four limes inside to kill off any lingering beer with a tidal wave of citrus. It was like a bubbly, and very nicely textured cheap margarita. It made my day of havoc on my engine power steed all the better, that’s for sure. And for all those concerned, I was with an experienced, dedicated (and rascally) guide that saw to it we were within the boundaries of (loosely defined) laws.
(I knocked the score down because this is hardly a beer. Otherwise I’d put it closer to 3.0).

Bottle. Interesting. Aroma has lime and coriander. Sweet flavour, no bitterness for balance, average duration. Palate is oily, and it has a good mouth feel. Dark yellow, with a head that disappears quickly.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Delhaize. Clear bottle. The bottom of the bottle is actually a bottle opener for the next bottle … interesting. BBF 08/11/2014. Drank ice-cold. Apple juice golden, little head. Chemical cheap sweet nose, lots of sugar mixed with very sweet tequila and lemonade, a true alcopop smell. Taste is sweet lime juice, lemonade, huge artificial sweetener and white table sugar, lemonade-like tequila, corn, starch with prominent grains in the finish, soggy cornflakes and corn syrup. Sticky corn syrup and artificial sugar body, red bull alcopop body. Bit better than Fischer Desperados I suppose, I would like to say that I have had better alcopop – I prefer Breezer – none of them are particularly good. This is nice for teenagers looking to get plastered I suppose which is what I imagine the target market is.
