Draught. Poured brown with almost no head. Aroma of malt and candy sugar. More brown sugar in flavour, with a touch more malt and a bit of hops. Also, I caught some pilsener notes, though there were only Belgian style ingredients in the ale. Pils like finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a dark copper-brown body with no head. Creamy, nutty, and slightly sour. Flavor develops as beer is further enjoyed. Acidic, sweet, mild prevailing sourness (very slight lactic acids methinks). Unique, not like most nut browns.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub. Spicey brown ale aroma. Dark amber color with a lacing white head. Very light carbonation. Medium body. Very light, not very sweet, caramel finish. Not heavily spiced. Interesting change of pace.
