Commercial Description:
This Double IPA has a strong following at our pub. Coming in at 8.5% abv this ale is best enjoyed slowly. More residual sugars help balance this hop bomb that sees nearly double the hop bill of the SRQ IPA. 150 more pounds of grain is used in this brew consisting of many pounds of dark crystal malts and carastan. With a higher abv. this beer has shown it ages well in the cellar.

Tap at brewpub. Hazy orange pour with a mountain of beige head and tons of sticky lacing. Aroma tells the storey here; full of citrus, caramel, and tropical fruits. Lively. Nice smack your lips hop presence. More citrus, some faded hops, caramel, and good lingering hoppiness. Sometimes I just love a DIPA at this stage in it’s life. Winner at SR.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy copper color with a small white head. The glasswear was all wrong, so perhaps a better presentation could be had. A sweet citrusy nose with some malty caramel notes. The flavor is pretty similar; not a extremely hop-filled beer, more of a balanced brew. Earthy malts a pronounced. Just a OK brew.

On draft at the brewpub in McCall, Idaho this came a very clear amber to orange with a small white head. Swirling it raised decent lacing rings. The nose is citrus and pine hops, with some fruit tinges. mostly apple and peach. Mouthfeel is rich and clean and it slides slickly down the tongue. Flavor is much like the nose with even more fruit flavors showing with good balance between the malts and hops. Long bitter finish. A quite decent DIPA and more easy drinking than most. Most enjoyable.
