Commercial Description: This is our nod to the wet hop brew. Only same day fresh off the bine organic (non-certified) hops are used in this brew. SRB has a small drip fed hop trellis garden 2 hours south and 3000 ft down from McCall in Emmett,Idaho at a small farm owned by the mother of one of SRB’s owners Jennifer Hurlbutt. Pounds of fresh Nuggets are added at the start of boil and then dozens of pounds of Willamettes and Mt. Hoods are soaked in wort at 195 degrees in our hop back to extract what is truly unique hop flavor and mild bitterness relative to traditionally kilned dried hops. A very simple pale barley and a small amount of Vienna is used to foster hop flavor and aroma dominance. This brew was very well received in the pub. It was also a very FUN beer to brew we very much look forward to next years hop harvest!
