3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12th September 2013
Very hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is softish and airy with fine carbonation. Creamy malt with notably sweet lactose. Floral hops and peachy tropical fruits and subtle grape. Semi dry finish with a mild bitter linger. Not bad, but too much sweet malt to be very good.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Corks of Cotham. Mmm, yummy hopfest in this one. Overcarbed though, but aside form this minor detraction an excellent tasting IPA with tons of citrus, tropical fruits and spicy pine notes. And that Nelson Sauvin lemonadey quality. Great.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lovely aroma, all sorts of fruits and the galaxy hop is definitely noticeable. If this beer was made by one of the "cool" breweries it would be even more popular.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Outstanding aroma - massive tropical beautifulness. Mouthfeel is fizzy like a mythical/historical tram journey down Narborough Road (Leics), conjured from black and white photographs in Fenwicks (Leics). The white art deco tram stop is still there - look for it. Great IPA. Salopian really are a top, top brewery these days. No bias here. They are outstanding.

330ml, Beer Gonzo. Intense aroma of..well, gelatinous confectionery, Cointreau, cats, mint leaf, grapefruit and grenadine syrup soft pungency. Dank old orange, fennel and Deep Heat impressions. Misted copper-orange piled with moussey froth. Soapy, pungent, orange marmalade flavour with peppery heat, husk, mint humbug and honey. Mellow honeyed bitterness finish with a nut husk linger. Salopian raising the bar and pushing my deScriptors with this one.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Draught. Oliver Twist Stockholm). Lovely aromas of hops, fresh with notes of sweet tropical fruits such as mango and apricot. The taste is the same as the aroma, sweet tropical hops, but unfortunately the taste becomes a little off because of the lack of carbonation. So excuse me all "Real ale lovers" but I really think that carbonation would lift the flavors in this ale...
