3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle. Dark brown body, lasting creamy light tan head. Creamy chocolate, roast & coffee profile. Some grain & a fair dryish hop tone, particularly on the tongue. Light to medium body, quite crisp for the style with a lingering coffee finish. Soft to medium carbonation. A drinkable & lightish porter that lacked a bit too much in body and general oomph to my liking.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany hue, almost black with a medium creamy light brown head. A nice sweet nose of caramel, chocolate and oat. The flavor is very nice and robust; sweet caramel, coffee, milky, roasted malts, some dry grains, earthy. Very nice, a solid to excellent porter. On cask this would be awesome. I love these quality English porters.

Quite good mild porter. Too short aftertaste with maybe a hint of butter.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Dark brown with a creamy head. Roasted aroma full of dark chocolate, some vinous, grappa-like elements, vanilla and mineral elements. Very nice, slightly sweetish roasted taste with a medium bitterness and an aftertaste of dark chocolate plus some vanilla and vague oatmeal. The only flaw I find in this is the weak body. Make this a more full bodied beer and it will be really great.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe
Very dark brown, ruby light through glass, thin creamy tan head, reasonable lacing
Aroma - fairly light nose of dark malts, roasted malts, liqourice, hint of plain chocolate
Taste - Rich malts (there are 12 of them!), roasted malts all smoothly blended, liquorice, molasses, some bitter chocolate, light coffee. Roasted malts are light, probably as it’s a porter. Not complex. Flavour perhaps a little understated - but does build up as you drink more
Palate - medium carb, thin to medium body, rather over-carbonated (needs a good stir), underlying smooth and silky texture. Finish is smooth with light coffee and chocolate.
Overall - Quite a nice porter, but over-carbonated, needs a bit more body and flavour. Considering the large number of different malts used (12 or 14), the flavour was not as complex as expected.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50 cl bottle. Pours brown (big head) the beer is almost black when settled.
Smells of dark malt and a hint of coffee. Taste is quite light in the start, but then becomes heavier. A pretty sweet flavour in this beer. VERY NICE!
