UPDATED: AUG 27, 2012 Cask, handpump at Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury Saturday 26th August 2012 Gold in colour with slim white filmy head. Dry, bitter with a furry lemony bitterness. Some sweetness but good bitterness, very good, maybe not as great as expected but a damn decent beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

15th August 2012: hand-pulled pint in ‘The White Hart’, Shifnal. Regular tasting and smelling citrus blond: typical of almost every UK summer brew. Clear golden body with a white head, pine, floral, citrusy nose and taste. The alcohol comes through the fairly thin body and adds a pleasant dimension to the flavours but otherwise it’s like all the rest.

Cask conditioned handpump Old Fountain London. A blonde beer with a white head and lacing. A lovely welcoming hoppy aroma. Prefect citrus with nothing to spoil. Super orangey hops too. A little tingle of peach too. Beautiful citrus and very very drinkable. Delicious.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2011 Hand pulled at the Shakespeare (Lower Temple), Birmingham. Very, very good. Lemony hops which are equal in the sweet bitter sourness. Clean, crips, massively easy to drink. Full of flavour. (original rating = 4.2 on 10th Sep 2011). RE-RATE - sampled again tonight in two more pubs and even better than I previously thought. This absolutely sensational. Banged up to 4.5.

Cask, Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Hazy gold with a thin foam. Aromas are tea and apricot with biscuit malts and mixed tropical fruit. Toffee with some saltiness. Stewed apple with light floral notes. Flavours are sweet, fruity malts with sweet pine and zesty citrus fruits. Grassy hops with a dry finish. A very nice easy going IPA style brew.

Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Golden with a short head. A very floral, fruity, apricot scent. Hardly any carbonation. Well balanced in the mouth with a sweet end, without being sickly. Fruity and nice.

Gravity cask at White Horse, Hedgerley, England on 31st Aug 2009 during their summer festival. Gold ith thin white head of froth. Fruity aroma with some earthy yeasty pungencies, followed by exquisite, grassy herby hop/hemp notes plus the slight undertone of cheese (cheddar). A delicious, greatly satisfying dry hoppy finish. A superb IPA.
