3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Didn’t pour it. Smells very malty, caramel, biscuit. Taste is very hoppy, zesty, but with overbearing biscuity malts, caramel, toffee. Too much for me. Boomerang more up my alley.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Great Grog. Big foamy head over pretty much black body. Not getting loads on the nose. Pine, mild citrus. Malt. Liquorice. Nice mouth feel. Malty then a good hop kick then some liquorice and returning to a slightly boozy but satisfying end.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dank, piney aroma with slight notes of pineapple and a hint of roastiness. Flavour adds a chunk of sweetness and a almost harsh bitterness followed by a roasty tail. Bitterness and roasty flavours leave an aftertaste that edges towards unpleasant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home in London - many thanks to BlackHaddock for the trade! Pours clear, deep red-brown with a large, billowing tan froth head. Nose has earth, hints of tangy citrus, roasted malts, burnt pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with burnt grass and pine, some tangy grapefruit, a bit of bittersweet baking cocoa, hints of the alcohol, well toasted bread. Medium bodied with lively, explodes-in-your-mouth carbonation. Light warmth to finish, further tangy citrus, dark bread, some lime, roasted malts, dirty pine, bitter earth. Decent effort.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Black with a medium head that soon dissipated. Gentle hoppiness with floral unsertaones. A pleasant example of this style but certainly not top class and no way a world beater.
