500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home on 31st Dec 2015: second beers of an English tasting session I am having with myself while chatting on the RateBeer World Wide New Years Eve Event. Decent looking beer with an amber body and an off-white topping, looks clean, clear and content in the glass. Hops rule the aroma and taste, not as citrusy as the front label indicates but certainly leaning that way. Better than I thought it would be: went down very nicely with some cream cheese (Philadelphia), olives and crackers.

Solid enough beer decent carbonation quite lagery in look and taste with some citra coming through. Honey and malt comes through bittersweet finish.

Bottle - golden with a thin white head which fades to a ring. Aroma of grass, pine and grapefruit. Taste of pine, lemon and grass with a faint bitterness to end. Quite a watery body with medium carbonation.

Clear golden beer with a thin bubbly head. Aroma and taste are both lemony citrus. A touch of hop in the taste and aftertaste. Possibly could have gone being a bit cooler.

Sweet, malty aroma with a zesty refreshing nose and the lingering dry bitterness of a full bodied pale ale. Good session ale - no complaints

Clear golden colour. Light malty sweetness in the aroma and flavour. Quite plain but inoffensive apart from the slightly metallic edge to the finish.

Neither excited nor upset: you may leave this drink with hazy memories of what the experience actually involved. Bland is a strong word, for this beer has certain powerful attributes. Its bitterness, pleasing appearance and long aftertaste make it a drink which leaves you happy when you’re left in its company. Whilst the palate never seeks to offend, it also refuses to state its intentions. For those who want a character ale, look elsewhere. For those locking themselves in for a long session, this may form part of the journey. You may look for something more, but don’t discount it entirely.
