50cl bottle. Pours golden/orange with thin clean white head that hangs around for most of the duration. Aroma is fairly muted, but there’s a bit of lemony citrus action, a touch of pine resin, slightly off-putting vegetal notes, and a bit of sugary malt sweetness. Taste is much better than the aroma suggests: plenty of citrus hop notes, herbs, and fresh pine notes alongside a decent biscuit malt backing. Very well balanced. Lingering but not overpowering citric hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Pretty good.

On tap. Deep golden pale ale, head lasts quite well. Light aroma, but full flavour, with crisp clean hops, some citrus and a dry finish. Hoppy enough to refresh but not too dry. Jolly nice too.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Light clear orange with a thick frothy lasting sticky lacy off-white head. Smells of toasted malt, caramel with a flowery citrus hop (orange). Thin watery frothy texture. A bitter-sweet tart kick starts it off with a sweet centre and a citrus chemical pasteurised finish. Its fruity apple with a grassy tinge. Seems a bit chemical which is usual for this brewery.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aspetto lievemente velato.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle - a nice refreshing pale ale, not the prettiest looking beer, small white head on a golden body. The aroma is a delicate grapefruit, the taste is slightly bitter, but the excessive carbonation lets this down from being really special.

Has a very lager type aroma but it is clearly a pale ale in taste. Light texture with biscuit notes.

Cask; brown/gold, frothy head; malt and citrus fruit - bitter orange; very bitter, but not in a mean way, with the hops prominent without being overbearing; a well balanced and sessionable pale ale.

Served on draft. Lovely pale colour and not too dry. Citrus notes, slightly sweet at first but turning dry on the finish. Head lasted to the end.
