Bottle, 6.2%. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted amlts, hops, citrus, pine and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, hop, little sweet, hops, bitter, little grapefruit, little pine, little liquorice and notes of coffee.

Bottle from The Offie, Leicester. Good-as-black skimmed loosely with tan. Neopolitan aroma edging towards imperial territory; cocoa, chargrilled veg, coffee and blueberry. Smooth, pleasantly soapy and Neopolitan ice cream flavours bittered with high cocoa. Not much hop. OK.

Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Dark brown with a cream foam. Aromas are coffee and grapefruit with gritty chocolate. Blackberry with creamy oak barrel. Flavours are sweet toffee and weetabix with roast coffee. Mellow grapefruit with white grape and a pithy, dry finish. Smooth.

Bottle bierhuis ossett. Redish black colour decent tan head and good lacing. Aroma is hops coco roasted malts coffee. Taste is chocolate orange roasted malts coffee good hop balance slight bitterness. Good body quite stong carbonation. This is very good lots going for it.

Clear dark dark brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, light burnt, light coffee, moderate hoppy, spruce, light pine, light licorice. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, salty licorice, roasted, licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Cask at The Wellington; dark brown pour with off white head, malt and pine aroma, taste has roasted malts along with chocolate but it is backed up with some pine and citrus hops.

500mL bottle. Pours pitch black with an off white head and a wonderfully big grapefruit/toffee/chocolate aroma. A resinous pine at the forefront of the flavour with citrus also playing a role as well bitter espresso coffee notes. Amazing beer.

Mahogany color beer with a beige head in the glass. Hoppy nose of floral and citrus hops. Dark caramel and dark bread under grapefruit rind and hop resin with some earthy notes. Very nice black IPA.

[10/4/13] Bottle sample at a tasting at chriso’s place. Dark brown with reddish hues. Aroma of malt and some stale hops. Flavor has sweetish malt, a bit of fruitiness and a bitter finish with some somewhat stale hops. Medium-bodied.

Bottle. Black colour with a white head with medium duration and moderate lacing. Aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malts and light burnt sugar. Flavor has notes of mokka, black chocolate, red furits and mild bitterness. The final is light bittery with slightly sweet notes very good compensated.
