A very pleasant black ipa. The smell is a bit underwhelming, the first taste is a little fleeting. The taste itself is very good with bitter roasted malts and coffee with fresh flowery hops. The aftertaste is pleasant, not very long. Very good taste, but a little bit small aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Cask @ West Riding Rooms, Dewsbury. Clear and dark, but not black with a creamy off-white head. Has a small sweetness but mainly a roasted malt aroma and taste.

Cask gravity at the Red Lion, Isleworth. Jet black with a coarse head and a roasty malt and grapefruit nose, very roast bitter body with citrus and treacle, plus faint cocoa and toffee. Yummy.

Cask - Dark roast and pine. Deep maroon with a rich beige head. Light roast and dark fruit with some pine and grapefruit hops. One of the best cask black IPA’s I have had.

Bottle from The Offie, Leicester. Good-as-black skimmed loosely with tan. Neopolitan aroma edging towards imperial territory; cocoa, chargrilled veg, coffee and blueberry. Smooth, pleasantly soapy and Neopolitan ice cream flavours bittered with high cocoa. Not much hop. OK.
