Bottle at a ChrisO Tasting - London. Pours clear, very pale yellow with a fine, bubbly head. Quite a nice raspberry character in the aroma, thank you very much. Light to medium sweet flavor with fairly true raspberry notes and light doughy malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lots more raspberry to finish, fairly juicy, with light hay bitterness. Nice raspberry integration on this one.

Cask at CPK, London. It pours pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is huge on the raspberry notes. Some funk, not much else. Taste is bitter with resiny hoppy notes and some light fruitiness. Mouthfeel is medium and good carbonation. Nice beer but it doesn’t really come throuh as one piece.

Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Gold with slight white head. The only good thing about this was the aroma which was raspberry through and through. The flavour was cheap and perfumed, Angel Delight type flavour, edging towards undrinkable.

500 ml. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Going over the ingredient list, it seems like this uses additives instead of real fruits. Pours very pale golden with a solid white head. Smell is raspberry but not as in the fruits itself, like raspberry jam with some raspberry syrup, more additives, very fruity, quite nice like raspberry cookies. Taste is bit of a downer, light malts and yeast, pale, mellow and artificial with some citrus, light grass bitterness, light, touch tin with artificial, fake raspberry with some pits & additives, bit bland & pale with some white sugar & traditional artificial sweetened drink vibe. Touch flatter. I suppose as good as something like this is bound to get.

Mostly clear but slightly clouded yellow coloured ale, no head so looks a bit flat. It has a huge sweet raspberry aroma and this is obviously carried through to the taste, but not to the same extent, still it remains fruity. The most striking part of its character is its weak thin body.

500ml bottle - found this more of a blonde than a fruit beer, yes it has a wee aftertaste and a bit of a raspberry aroma, but the beer is the hero here. Nice crisp golden, bit of a freshness at the end. Good.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, raspberry, artificial raspberry. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration, raspberry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120502]
