cask @ belfast beer fest 2011. Amber beer with sickly raspberry aroma. tastes of raspberry squash and not much else. not for me.

Bottle, from Morrisons, Scunthorpe. Gold, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Dominant raspberry fruitiness in the nose that strangely becomes very soft and muted in the mouth, its still there but allows the sweet maltiness to create a delicately pleasing mouthfeel, finish is again muted but a gentle sweet raspberry note lingers.

Bottle@Home. Artificial aroma but not too bad. Surprising blond, white head, good lace. Sweetish, raspberry, light bitter. Quite balanced and not really artificial. Not bad actually.

Bottle. Hit with a huge but almost artificial aroma of raspberries upon opening. Pours a promising pale gold colour with a very white heads that looks appetising but fades quickly. Taste is peculiar in that it reminded me of those drum-stick lolly sweets you can get with a slightly cloying aftertaste. Not entirely unpleasant but also not what I was hoping for, sadly.

Bottle. Thin white head which instantly dissipates. Crystal clear pale gold body. Aroma is of lots of fresh, ripe raspberries, with an undercurrent of honey and yoghurt. Very bitter from the fruit, with sweet undertones. Dry finish. Rather nice.

On cask at Cloisters. A blonde beer with a thin white head. Aroma of raspberry ripple ice-cream and caramel. Similar flavours, quite artificial, with caramel and a raspberry ice-cream chupachop quality. Mild carbonation and a little oily. Too artificial for me.

Cask at Cloisters. Golden with a very thin white head. Big raspberry nose. Immediate palate is of a standard cask gold ale. Subsides to a quite nice raspberry afterthought with a lingering tang. quite nice.

Poured a very pale yellow with almost no head. The aroma was overwhelmingly of raspberries. Tasted of raspberries unsurprisingly, with a little hop.

bottle at home ... lovely crisp golden yellow ... big bubbly white head ... lots of raspberry from even a distance ... soft fruit hop ... soft raspberry light bitterness... aroma and looks tops the beer its self, but the beer is decent if a little bitter and ligth metalicness

Cask, Kiroswald Beer Fest. Extremely aromatic beer, strong fruit aroma from a good distance! Light golden appearance, sweetness blends in nicely with the bitterness of the beer, to make a really fresh-tasting summer beer that is all too easy to drink. Good balance and well-flavoured.
