Not much in the aroma but good flavour with deep, earthy hops and a full body. Nice session ale.

Cask@Lychgatetavern, Wolverhampton. Amber colour, large creamy head. Aroma of citrus. Taste is of grapefruit and oranges with a little bittering. Very smooth on the palate. Another great beer from saltaire, it may be the start of a relationship for a brewery from my homeland of West Yorkshire. Keep sending them down to the midlands please.

Very tasty amber coloured ale with lots of US and NZ hops that are ably carried by the darker than average malts. Flavours of toffee apple and citrus fruit make this very drinkable. Just as well it's not too strong so you can have a few! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask conditioned handpump Mr Foleys Leeds 05/07/12. An amber to brown coloured beer with an off-white head and lacing. This suffers from oversweetness. A bit of dirty water too. Some banana rye notes in the nose. Not allowing the hops to flourish. Also over warm as is often the case here.

Dark copper redish gold with a lasting clingy thin off-white head. Smells of cherry, sweet caramel malt and a bit of fruity peach punch. Medium dry smooth palate. A bit of wood, sweet caramel malt centre with hints of vanilla and finishes citrusy with dry bitter orange grapefruit hops. Very nice and biscuity.

Red-brown with a clingy white head, pepper, malt and a touch of sour cherry on the nose, dry but not too astringent body with a touch of sultana and a long dry finish with touches of vanilla, bitter orange, oak and maybe liquorice. Very nice.

Cask at the Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Keen. Clear gold beer, bubbly off white head. Light dry palate. Nice mild orange marmalade hops with a touch of grapefruit. Any rye or Nelson is very subtle indeed!

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Has some promise, but doesn’t deliver strong hops; just a yawn of balance. Amber, with a pretty finish.
