3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask @ Grand Central, Fallowfield. Lovely light golden colour with thin white head leaving decent lacing. Fruity malty aroma. Slightly sweet initially it leads to a long, bitter finish. Its light palate would make it an ideal summer beer - typically I sampled it in the bloody winter.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
slightly disappointing as I’ve had cask before and it was much better (from memory)
looked pretty much like a standard bottled supermarket blond beer and didn’t improve in nose or taste. best avoided in this container!

Cask at Craft Beer. Slight caveat that all the other beers in the same session were awesome, but this one was pretty average. Pale gold colour, there probably was soft malt flavours but hops were very disappointing tasted a bit droopy.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at the Old Fountain. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Sweet nose, honey malts, light straw. Nice flavor, not too intense, some easy bitterness, hay and sweet, juicy citrus, some sugary malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish, faint grass and straw, nice and light toasted bread and some residual sugars. Very pleasant.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Booth’s, Ilkley. Is it me or are Saltaire one of the most overrated breweries in the country?Pale and brilliant with a skim of white. Aroma of shrivelled old lemon zested with a nail file. Light buttered raffia, stale lemon curd tart flavour. Damaged and watery. Don’t like.

(cask @ The Magpie & Crown ,Brentford). (rating 666, with a Slayer video) The hops have their volume on mute in the nose. Its decent to drink , but the hops again , like the nose are not bold. Mild crispy fruity drynesss, but its measly and withouth balls.

Bottle. Medium to large white fluffy head. Clear deep gold body. Lots of juicy hops, spice, biscuit, perfume. Sweet, with bitter notes. Very dry on the finish, with moderate carbonation present. A very decent beer.
