4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Cask at the Wenlock Arms on 23rd February 2011. Gold with offwhite frothy head. Exquisite herby grass aroma, then crisp hoppiness in-mouth plus a deliciously savoury nutty kick - peanut. As the liquid subsides in the mouth, grassy hoppiness returns only more richly and intensely than before - herb notes of oregano then a luscious grassy finish. Zingy mouthfeel. For its strength this is one of the best hoppy blond beers I have drunk in a very long time.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at the Bricklayerís Arms BF, 2011. Clear, light gold pour with a soft, bubbly head. Straw and lightly tart citrus on the nose with some light, honey and cereal bread. Light to medium sweetness, has some sun-baked toast, orange and lemon zest, some dry straw bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry finish with great, throaty hops of straw and citrus, and some mild sugars. Great balance and drinkability here.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask (handpump) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Clear gold with a fluffy white head. Very clean and refreshing with lots of grassy and citric hop character. Not necessarily the biggest or most assertive blond but packs plenty of flavour for the ABV. Enjoyable and immensely drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Gravity at the Grape and Grain Spring Beer Festival 2011. It pours a straw yellow with a thin white head and soft carbonation. The nose is bread, honey, lots of citrus fruits (peach in particular) and a little banana. The taste is bread, lemon and lime zest, metallic, pine, grass and thyme, with a nice long bitter finish. Itís very light bodied, easy to drink and packed full of flavour for such a low ABV beer. Surprisingly good!

Pale gold with gentle carbonation, a faintly earthy hop nose and plenty of pithy bitterness. Needs a bit more by way of aroma.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at Cloisters Bar, Edinburgh. Gold with white head. This came over quite bitter and dry with a slight chemical flavour in the background. Some kiwi fruit skin in the close, itís ok but I expected a bit more.
