500ml bottle. Brilliant Lucozade amber with a slick white head. Aroma of jellied orange, lemon, lime and pineapple confectionery; blackcurrant, passion fruit, almond, honeyed biscuit. Good soft, punchy IPA with authentic US leanings paired with a biscuity cask English sensibility. Passion fruit, tangerine and anise notes. Very easy to drink: alcohol wholly overpowered by flavour. Lingering bitter finish with softening cashew and shrub.Tasty.

Aroma: Grain, honey and a light fruitiness.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin off-white head that quickly fades. Very light carbonation. Light lacing.

Taste: Peach and orange flavours with a sweet, caramel-like, resinous quality. Tastes quite boozy for its 6.0% ABV. Low bitterness.

Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: Quite good but very sweet for an IPA and a bit on the thin side.

500ml bottle - Clear golden body, thin skin of white froth on top. The nose is a wonderful fruity punch of citrus, soft fruits, peaches and apricots. The taste is bitter, with the hints of apricots, mango, peaches and a hint of grapefruit. Overall a very nice IPA, worthy of another go.

Pours clear golden brown, small head, lively carbonation. Malty aroma, caramel, biscuit , only a light fruity hoppy flavour, no pungent citrus hops like in the best beers of this style, the finish is long slightly bitter & alcohol finish. More fresh hops please.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2013. Not hugely hoppy on aroma but yes the fruit kicks in the mouth not hugely bitter either. Some syrupy sweet malt. Bit too sweet not enough aroma hop not bitter enough. Good orange tangerine fruit flavour. Ok

Bottle Rehills Ncl. Pours a sparkling clear pale amber colour. Expected more of a hop hit in the nose. Fine peach and tropical fruit flavour, although the finish is quite short. A little dryness creeps in, the aftertaste has a nice lingering fruitiness, for 6% it doesn’t come across particularly strong.

50cl bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton. Bright amber with a small white head; soft, sweet, fruity aroma - peach & apricot; clean and estery in the mouth with a thick oily feel, and a blend of fruits - pears, grapefruit, lychee - that mingle more pleasantly than you’d suppose; and a lively, spritzy finish that’s deeply bitter, but not as long lasting as I’d like. Nevertheless a good attempt at the American style IPA.

500ml bottle from the Crafty Pint, Darlington market. Pours a clear golden dark amber colour, foamy white head and malty citrus hop aroma. Flavour is malty with caramel, biscuit & alcohol notes, a residual sweetness and a spicy grapefruit hop bitterness that lingers. Medium bodied, soapy mouth feel. OK.
