Bottled. An amber beer with notes caramel, malt, and some hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and some spicy hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Clear, bright honey coloured body with a good size head. Apples, dried fruit and a little bit of resin in the taste, very pleasant aroma and fairly light in the body. Seems to be mainy hop driven which is ok but you really have to look for the shiraz. This is a “Hand Crafted Ale” so it is got to be good.

This ruby reddish-amber brew shows notes of cherries, brownies, caramel and milk chocolate. THe body is a bit too thin for my liking, but then I drank it in the middle of several high ABV beers. Light caramel finish. Will revisit on its own to confirm rating.

2007 vintage, special acquisition. Clear amber with white foam. Hoppy aroma that belies the shiraz. Some copper in nose and palate. Nice, crisp and clean and solid but lacking the special character it promises.

Bottle, purchased at the International Beer Shop in Perth. Wow, sitting down to rate this beer, I am surprised to find that it is supposed to be a fruit beer. Perhaps more surprising, even though I got no fruit character in my bottle whatsoever, I still liked it a lot! It poured a rich deep amber with a cream-coloured head. Enticing toast and toffee aroma, some floral hops. Medium mouthfeel, medium sweetness, with toasty, nutty, and floral hop flavours. Clearly this bottle is not representative of what this beer is supposed to be, but I thought it was very good nonetheless!

Had this one during my holiday in Australia april/may 2009. 2008 vintage edition. Red, amber, copper colored brew. Aroma of ripe fruit, floral hops. Longlasting head. Tick texture. Floral hoppy, aftertaste of pepper and wine. Nice combination, but a bit strange.

Interesting. Pours a coppery colour with little head. The aroma is of late season cherries, sweet and slightly sour. The taste is floral, with cherry and plum notes and a slight shiraz pepperiness an dry character. A little thin in the mouth to really appreciate the full flavour I think. It’s certainly a unique and very drinkable beer, and with a bit of improvement it could be excellent.
