very very tasty beer. Excellent aroma and mixture of all unique and wonderful different tastes. The over all finish to the beer is excellent as well. I strongly recommend seeking this beer out as it is definitely one of a kind.

Foggy gold body and almost no head. Soft malt and citrus on the nose. Flavour is maltiness with sharp carbonation on the mouth and a dry bready finish. Drinkable. Unremarkable.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, as Salt Spring Golden Spike Ale
Hazy blond. Color. Almost no aroma. Poor Lager flavor, just not as watery as the Heatherdale, but equally useless.

Pours golden with a white head. Taste is very grainy/bready, with some light floral and citrus notes. Not terrible.

This one equally as good from the bottle as from the keg. Pours with a rich, gold colour and a only a fair sized head. Aroma is subdued, and the taste is quite pleasant. A refreshing beer to drink.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a dense white head displaying excellent retention and ringing lace down the whole glass. Curious aroma of sweet malt with a hard-to-place character... shortbread?.... vanilla?... macadamia nuts? Not sure, but intriguing. There is a peachy fruity character as well. Creamy mouthfeel with an interesting herbal hoppy finish. A nice surprise!

Floral, hoppy nose. A pure golden color and surprisingly complex body has nutty overtones. This is quite good really, with a nice hoppy aftertaste. Balanced.

Lemon, lychee and peaches in a fairly sweet and grassy aroma. Slightly hazy golden body is topped by a low white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Flavour is deinitely quite peachy with grassy hop notes but the lemon character is quite strong and there is some acetic sourness. Toasted malt character swims into focus briefly in the aftertaste. Light body with strong but shortlived carbonation and very watery texture. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle (BCLS @ 39th & Cambie, Apr-07).

Golden ale with floaties, and a thick white head. A rather citrusy aroma, like a lemon infusion. In mouth, a watery malt with lemony notes, showing lactic acids, thin and bad. Seems they have problems bottling...
