TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 10, 2009 Draught at BCTC. Pours golden with a small white head. Nose of candied sugars, alcohol, orange rind. Flavor is sweet, fruity and alcoholic. Dumparoo! ElDuderino (136), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Apr 6, 2009 Bottle. This was just too much. Body pours a light golden with a tall tight white head. Aroma of sugar and lots of it. Flavors of cotton candy, skittles and cinnamon raisin bread, toasted. Really nearly undrinkable. Pallate is hot and thin and the burn gets worse and worse as the beer warms. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Feb 16, 2009 (Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of candi sugar, florals, grass, and light herbs. Flavor of candi sugar, hops (grassy, herbal, earthy), and light spices with a dry finish. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Sep 30, 2008 BBF 08. Nice light golden with some haziness and a nice fluffy lasting white head. Aroma is spicy phenolic light lemony and vanilly phenols, some citrus, earth and a slight sweet alcholic burn. Flavor is also sugary burn from the high alcohol but the malts try to keep up light doughy breadiness from the pils malt, more spicy earthy phenolics good clean hoppiness and a surpisingly dry finish. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 Sample @ BBF ’08, Boston. Pours a hazy yellowish-orange with a white head. Aroma is candy sugar, herbs and slight spice. Taste was very sweet, with fruit notes also detectable. Pours a sort of cloudy Saxo-ish yellow orange. Aroma was Belgian sugar sweetness, some herbal aroma. Taste was tripel type sweet, fruity. Almost too sweet & sugary but not too bad kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Aug 4, 2008 Draft @ BCTC. Pours a hazy, golden-orange color; creamy, light khaki head with great retention and fine-bubbled lacing; great pour. Toasty, citrus, and mineral bitterness in the aroma; dry, minerally, and lightly herbal; touch of lime. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy Belgian sugar, white pepper, and creamy toasted malts; messy, chewy, sticky big Belgian beer; basic and pretty one-dimensional expression. Medium finish: breadiness, toasty malts, and Belgian sugar.
