COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it’s not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Probably the best light beer out there... hands-down winner over domestic lights, and most imports. I think it’s better than Amstel (which may have more flavor than most light beers, but it’s not a good flavor. Unless you like skunks.)

Not bad for a light beer, I preferr Amstel.

Surprisingly large head for a light! I really think this is a quality light beer. I don’t usually drink light brews, but If I was looking for one it would be between this and Amstel.

If this was any lighter it would float through the air

I am a big SA supporter but a even BIGGER lite beer hater, i will never give a lite beer a higher score than a 1 on palate cause there is no need to and since this is sam i gave it a 5 on taste, other than that SA keep up the good work

This is a surprise! Compare this with the rest of the light swill - Bud, Miller (water) and this kicks butt. Thought not something I would drink a lot, there will be times when I would enjoy a Sam Adams Light - while waiting for a Fred.

Tastes just like a light version of Sam Adams Lager, not bad at all.

Not bad for a light beer, it certainly doesnt look like a light beer, but still it is nothing spectacular. Has a hint of the creamy flavor of a regular Sam Adams, but its definately missing something.

Kick it some overall points for being a light beer and not being as watery as bud light. The taste is kind of odd. I don’t see myself drinking it too often. When looking for a light beer, I’ll stick with Amstel.

Not bad for a light beer. First time I had it, reminded me a bit of Amstel Light. Certainly something I would drink again when I feel the need for a light beer, but don’t want something watery.
