COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it’s not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Not really much of an aroma, just slight malt. Pours an amber color with a decent-sized white head that leaves very little lacing. Weak flavors of malt, caramel and citrus. Finishes slightly crisp and dry. This is the best "light" beer that I know of, though for the price there are much better beers available.

Amber pour and decent creamy head malt and funky floral hop aroma .... lots of sweet malts in the taste and decent lacing with a light hop in the finish .... lots of malty flavor for a light ... actually not a bad light brew at all

Remember that this is a light beer, because otherwise, it tastes just ok. It’s still better than any other American macro full-bodied. Color is about what you would expect from a full flavor macro. Smell is decent, not great. Mouthfeel is not too heavy. Extremely high drinkability due to it being a great tasting light beer. Good choice for a light beer overall.

BB 11/10 alc 4.05 cal128 disclaimer: I am Not a Lager fan! Nice golden color. Almost no head. Smells like a lager , mild notes of over ripe bananas & wet grass. Medium body. Nice malt flavor, a little sweet. No evidence of hops(not surprising) Good fresh finish, nicely done, not what I expect of a "Light beer". I could drink this.

Pours a crystal clear looking copper. Aroma is surprisingly full and semi-dry with even a light hops aroma. Flavor is not so full. Moderately malty for an American lager. Very slight hop flavor. Not extremely crisp. Decent for a light beer.

Freshness date of July, bought in August. Too bad I didn’t realize this until I was at home. Head was a nice white, but it faded down quickly. The color of this beer does not look like any light beers I have seen. It is almost an amber colored orange (if that makes any sense). The balance between hops and malts is very good. The mouthfeel is wonderful, as I just want to let it linger in my mouth for a while before drinking it. Very clean and refreshing. This is definitely the best light beer that I have had and it really packs a lot of flavor. If the label didn’t say it was light, then I would have never guessed it to be a light beer. 12 oz. bottle from a sample pack. Pours a light clear amber with a nice white head. Faint aroma of yeast and hops. Tastes a little thin with a touch of hops coming through. Decent light beer.

Pours a clear amber with a medium off white head. Weak aroma of malt, grain, and floral hops. Flavor is very much the same with hints of caramel as well. Light body with high carbonation. Good for a light beer. Just a light Boston Lager.
