3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This light beer from Sam Adams definetly has a lighter taste than the Boston Lager or Boston Ale, but it is still very well made. At 4% alcohol it still is a tasty beer and delivers the lighter contents without sacrificing taste. If you are a Bud Light/ Miller Lite drinker, give this a try!

Orange pour. I don’t think it is the lighting. Aroma of malt and hops. Similar flavor.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white head. Nose is a little skunky on this. Taste is similar with heavy malt tones to it.

Pale malts, corn, yeast, barley and a hint of sweetness. Thin body, not much to this beverage.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an orangy gold color that is clear. White head disappears completely almost immediately. Has a bit of moldy somewhat buttery sweet smell. Beer does not look very lively. Taste is balanced, but bland. Dry body with light carbonation. Bit of a buttery aftertaste. Is drinkable and smooth but certainly not impressive. May have to try again, almost suspicious that I got a subpar batch. Bottle says it’s fresh but I’ve come to expect more from Sam Adams even for a light beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
From bottle. Pours amber in color. Aroma is mild. Taste is too. Does not even taste like the lager. Yes its lite, but it was not the best lite lager.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours dark orange, almost amber with a small white head. Aroma of slightly sweet lighter malts and a touch of floral and earthy hops. Flavor of lightly sweet malts and a touch of floral/earthy hops. Fairly bland and boring but probably the best light beer I’ve had.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is over-rated. It is surviving off of name recognition. To my taste something is off-balance in it, especially in the finish. It compares well to Yuengling Light, which is sightly better. I would rather drink Amstel Light or Michelob Light.
