COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it’s not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

For a light beer this one isn’t all that bad. pours a pale yellow color one finger white head. Aroma is corn and malts. Very light body. Nothing to special.

Not bad for a mass market light beer. There are others that are better than Sam Adams Light but it is no where near the bottom of the pack.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Color is yellow/tan with off-white head. Aroma is mild citrus hops, hay, and grass. Taste is light malt, with biscuits and hay, with slight hop bite. Medium-bodied with good carbonation. Definitely more rich and full-bodied than most light beers, but not sure I actually like it better. Just OK.

Bottle at TRPD beer dinner. Poured a clear thin copper body with a small fizzy whiteish head. No flavor no aroma and lots of forced carbonation. This beer sucks.

Sam Adams light is, as far as light beers is one of the better ones. I personally am not a fan of light beers but if I have to drink one this would be it.

Bottle from location in Memphis, TN. Pours a light golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy and floral with notes of flowers, honey, malt and spice. Flavor is much of the same with some slight sour malty notes. Generally light body with a sour malty finish. For a light beer not bad but not something I want to drink often.

bottle . . had some body and aroma, rare for a light beer . . i really don’t drink light beer but if i did I would probably prefer this on . .

12 oz bottle purchased from Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a clear amber color with a two finger white head. The aroma was malty and floral. The flavor was a malt base with a citrus finish. This is actually one of the better light beers I’ve had.
