Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

I absolutely had to drink a light beer, this would be a good choice. It’s a bit watery and has a little sourness on the finish, but it does have a fair malty taste and some hops(not much). For a low cal brew this is OK.

From bottle :Incredible, for a light beer. Nice head when poured into glass, aroma of a real beer. Flavor for days against most all light beers. Palate is great, not the best, but great, and a aftertaste to die for. I really like it.

Bottle with an expiration date of Sept. 07. Pours a handsome cooper-amber with a short-lived off-white head. Much nicer looking than most light beers I have tried. It actually looks like a real beer. The aromas of hops and malts are evident. Light mouthfeel but a bolder flavor. It may taste watered down when compared to Sam Adams’ regular recipes, but when compared to other light beers it is full of flavor. I would have this anyday over any of the regular Buds, Millers, or Coors products.

Light clear amber, lots of tiny bubbles, thin fine white head, sweet carmel malt aroma, light malt flavor, hint of sweetness, nice hop bittehness after warming, amazingly full-flavored for a ’light’ beer, 124 calories, 9.7g carbs

It’s certainly better than most light beers, but that isn’t saying much. Not much flavor, a slightly nasty light beer aftertaste, not a beer that I would normally drink.

One of my favorite for Sam Adams. I drank this alcohol treat out of a Disney lager glass in the company of heroes. Very pleasing for a pale lager.

For a light beer this is pretty good. Has an amber colour with a white head. I like the regular Boston Lager better but it still has a good hops-like taste and It has 51 less calories. A little bit of citrus in the taste. Overall I think that it should have a rating higher than the 17% it has now. I drank this out of a Lager glass
