COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it’s not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a light amber color with a big white head. Mild malt aroma and some hops. Flavor has a lingering malt sweetness and mild bitterness. Pretty good for a light beer.

Pours amber with an off white head. Lightly sweet malt aroma with grain and caramel. Light body. Light malt flavor, a bit sweet with caramel and trace hops. surprisingly good for a "light" lager.

Poured into a pint glass. 2 fingers of head float atop an amber body. Good retention, little lacing. Aroma is of fresh cut grain and a little bit of caramel sweetness. Flavor is like a lighter Boston Lager: bready and sweet but a tad watery. Mouthfeel is thinnish but satisfying. Really easy to drink.

Probably the best light beer I’ve had. It has some hops and some caramel malt flavor. Still quite light bodied and a bit watery, but its good for drinking in quantity or on a hot day.

A decent tasting light lager, but i always prefer my beers 10x heavier. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a small head. Mouthfeel is very light of course and grainy on the palate.

I have been drinking this brew since it came out. Slightly better on tap and for a light beer probably the best I know of. Can’t compare this to a high quality brew but in its own category it is fine. Smooth with a good balance true to the taste of Sam Adams perhaps just a little watered down.

This is a less alcoholic slightly better tasting Bud Light unfortunately. But it was a good beer. Not as good as advertised.

Sam Adams in general is probably my favorite beer. The Light is very smooth and easy to drink. It tastes like a beer is supposed to taste and is not watered down like some other light beers.
