COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it’s not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

This is definitily much better than your average american light lager. Actually has a good strong taste that could make you think its a regular lager. Give it a try.

Has some taste for a light beer, a toned down version of the regular lager. Still overrated

12oz bottle: In my new search to find low(er) carb beers that actually have some taste I bought a sixer of this. Pours a brilliant amber with a finger thick foamy head. The nose is subtle, noting light caramel and honey. This has nice mouthfeel for a light beer. The body finds a nice balance of crisp malt and a touch of grassy hops. I like this because it has enough flavor to make me want another. Quality ingredients were used and it shows.

The pour is light yellow. The nose is a malt and yeast. The taste is a lighter body version of the Boston lager. It is one of the few fuller body light beer that I have tried and enjoyed.

12 oz. bottle, typical light beer but better than most, I like how they distance this from the rest of their line by calling this Sam Adams instead

i love sam adams, but i’m just not a light beer drinker. i had to try it, but i wouldn’t recommend it as a light beer.

A good light beer. Light body with a thin texture. A good light beer if you must drink lights.

The best light beer i’ve ever tried. You would not know it was a light beer by the taste. A good clear amber-orange color. Good malt and hop presence.
