COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it’s not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Bottle. For a light beer this has quite a punch. I’ve been out and this was one of the few good offerings and I had an enjoyable evening. I think they did a nice job with this offering. Golden in color, very light head if any. Decent light beer.

For a light beer this is mcuh more flavorful compared to to the usual light beers. Far from being a great complex brew, but better flavor than most lights.

Leaps and bounds better than bud and miller light. Good taste and finishes clean.

Jan. 2006 - What can you say? For a light beer it isn’t bad...but if I want light, I’ll drink water. This and Yuengling Light are comparable. I’m glad this last beer from my Sam Adams variety pack is finally gone.

Good light lager to session- beats your average macros at an affordable price. Decent taste and good body for a lager.

Clear golden color. Head lingers longer than most light beers, but still dissipates quickly. Good amount of carbonation. Bready, malty and hoppy aroma. Light-bodied, crisp taste. Great light beer, especially in the summer!

Picked up single 12-oz bottle at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin ring. Aroma of light bready malt and a touch of citrus hops. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with typical light low-carb beers without the corn malt flavor. Finish is light crisp, clean cut with no aftertaste. It’s nice to have a low-carb beer without the watery corn malt flavor for once.
