COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, itís not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Bottle into SAís lager glass, bright amber color with white head. Aroma of malt sweetness, somewhat floral and maybe the slightest grain and caramel note. Taste is the aroma adding some notes of bread and a very faint nuttiness. Light body, moderate carbonation, watery yet malty too with clean finish. Not to bad for a light beer, the faintest of nuances sets it apart from the macro lights.

Canít believe I havenít rated this beer yet, poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. This beer is a dark golden amber color with a nice thick short white head. The flavor is yeasty with a hop finish, very good flavor for a light beer. Overall, an excellent light beer and a good beer overall.

Pours an amber from a bottle, good clean malty aroma, maybe a little biscuity, nice clean flavor when cold, probably one of the better American lagers Iíve had, and a light one at that. Better than the Sam Adams Boston Lager. Good beer.

Classic beer. Medium look and nice finish. This has a well balanced mix between the hops and malts.

Pours clear amber with a medium beige head, very fine lacing, excellent retention. Malty aroma; caramel, biscuit, hay. Light body, smooth, lively. Lightly sweet and nutty, light bitter finish with some nice earthy notes. Very drinkable and refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2015 Hands down the greatest light beer I have ever tasted. I donít drink a lot of light beer but sometimes after the holiday gorge itís not a bad idea to substitute a 6 pack of these in the rotation here and there, I donít care what beer snobs say. Nice caramel, light hops, clean and refreshing. An American light beer that tastes good with no adjuncts.

Look: pours an amber color. White head. Very clear. Smell: lager malt smell. Sweet malts caramel. Bready biscuit. Taste: sweet caramel malt. Biscuit. Feel: very thin mouth feel. Medium carbonation. Overall: odd flavor just due to the age. First drank: home 1/6/15 Vintage: January 2013
