Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, fully golden with a white head. Malty nose. Light and watery body with sweetish, lightly caramelish malt and again sweet notes of brewing cereal and brewing syrup. No bitterness. So not even Sam Adams managed to produce a pleasant lite beer. 300306

Light clear amber, lots of tiny bubbles, thin fine white head, sweet carmel malt aroma, light malt flavor, hint of sweetness, nice hop bittehness after warming, amazingly full-flavored for a ’light’ beer, 124 calories, 9.7g carbs

This liquid was brewed, and it even contains some alcohol -- it is a beer. Clear amber body with medium beige head. Faint sweet aroma and moderately sweet flavor, some maltiness in there too. Really nondescript in a non-offensive kind of way.

Bottle Goldenish colour with a rather shot bubbly white head. Aroma of malt and some sweetness. Flavour is fresh and rather thin, some maltiness and hoppiness. For a light (US version) beer this is absolutely the very best I have had.

(Bottle) Probably the best American light beer that I have had. Had a descent flavor.

12 oz bottle-pours a thin off white head that quickly reduces. Color is clear gold, appealing. Aroma-fresh grain, inviting. Taste a nice crisp slightly sweet flavor, but a bit short for what is rated as a better beer.
