blkitson (126), Westerville, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2007 What a great beer for someone’s homebrew. Ken Smith has found a great recipe that Sam Adams was smart to make. Pours a murky golden color with a great head. The boysenberries leap at you, all through your mouth. What a great surprise.
Beerman6686 (780), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 5, 2008 Pours a light hazy yellow color with an off white head. Aroma was of sweet boysenberries, almost too sweet. Flavor was just too sweet and artificial. Way too overbearing, much like the cherry wheat. jkwalking05 (182), Arlington, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2008 Decent look with a medium head. Wonderful smell of boysenberries is present but not overpowering, but the boysenberries flavor is a little artificial and overpowering in the taste. Butters (422), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 18, 2008 Probably my favorite of the longshot series so far. The name summed up the experience nicely. Hazy straw color with fair off-white head. Never had a boysenberry before, but the flavor was quite enjoyable. topherh (278), Kearney, Missouri, USA Apr 1, 2008 12 oz bottle Poured cloudy golden with a nice aroma of fruit. Flavor is of a nice American style wheat with Boysenberry. Very Easy to drink. Too bad this isn’t going to become a regular. daknole (838), Plantation, Florida, USA Mar 16, 2008 This is a great fruit beer. Really well balanced with a super boysenberry flavor. Nice cloudy pour with a small cream colored head. Very smooth and easy to drink. I was lucky to score a pack of the longshot winners in Augusta at a Publix while I was at the Masters.
