Good bitter this - fairly sweet malt, with hints of fruit, toffee and nuts. Smooth and easy-drinking which makes it good for a session ale, but far more interesting than most in that category. Good stuff.

Cask handpull, SIBA Champions Fest 2011, The Canalhouse, Nottingham. Copper-bronze, lacing white slick. Aroma of dates, figs, oranges, a snort of exotic spice: cinnamon? Flavour: not fully dried stone fruits (plums, dates, apricots), milk choc afters. Fragrant, slightly chewy...and a little bizarre. Nothing like anything else I’ve had today. Fair play to them. Liked this.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2010 Cask på Bree Louise, Euston 28 Sep 10. Rødbrun. Lavt stabilt svakt farget skum. Lovende fruktig aroma. Smaken er litt søt. Karamell. Forsiktig fruktig ettersmak med antydning til bitterhet.

(Cask at Pineapple, London) A fruity and hoppy bitter. That’s something you seldom get. I liked this beer. The fruitiness and maltiness were nicely balanced and bitterness wiped both flavours away quite nicely. Bitterness didn’t last too long so the next sip brought all the other flavours back again.

Cask at the London Brewers Showcase. Pours clear amber with a mild, white head. Malt and bread aroma. Flavor has mild sweetness, with notes of dough, butter and caramel, followed by modest hops. Also hints of popcorn and herbal hops. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet, bready and with some light bitters.
