UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 Cask at the Bree Louise, Euston. Copper with a thin cream coloured head that laced the glass well; rich malty aroma with some red fruits and butterscotch; full bodied with a fruity and spicy taste - reminds me of spiced plums; lightly hopped finish. Very drinkable. (January 2010 - 6/3/6/3/13=3.1)

50cl bottle from the brewery. Copper with no head; red fruit aroma; solid malty taste with light dry finish. Still very drinkable. (June 2012 - 6/3/6/3/13=3.2)

500 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a fast disappearing, dense white head. Aroma is mild malty. Flavor is sweet malt, some caramel and slightly bitter. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. Rather straight forward ordinary bitter.

Cask in the rake. Alround rating: Caramel pale malt, earthy yeasty character, fruity character, bit of fruity hop balance. Decent.

I’ve had this before, not sure how it fell off my rating radar. Anyway, cask this time. Dark orange or light brown, hazy, still, small white head, light lacing. Nothing to report in the aroma. Body is medium, slightly foamy, touch of carbonation. Taste has burnt toffee, slight ash, malt-forward. Average sweet malty bitter.

Cask - The Rake, Southwark. Kook’s crawl. Faint nettles. Soft milk flavour. Summery. Soft citric like peach. Hoppy and drinkable.

500ml bottle pours a golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits and caramel with some pine. Taste is a fruity and malty sweetness up front, finishing with a piney hop bitterness. Light bodied with some decent carbonation. Another decent English bitter, but nothing special.

ClubGonzo (5307) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a deep coppery red-amber body with a small white head. Nose is caramel, red berries, hints of pepper and herbs. OK, but maybe a tad bit faint. Taste is caramel, grains, hints of burnt sugar and grass. Slightly watery palate but still OK and quite quaffable. Pretty smooth, without ever being impressive in any way.
