Cask at Duke of Clarence. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma is Apple, toffee, lemon and Fruits and flowers. Flavour is quite creamy with a gentle bitterness. Quite doughy and bready. Medium bodied with low carbonation.

Cask at the Red Lion, Isleworth. Hazy dark gold with a clinging head. Faintly herbal nose, palate is dry-bitter, golden malty, faintly herbal and has distant hints of apple and honey.

Cask at The Eagle, Clapham Junction 06/2014. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a thin white head. Light lemon and digestive biscuit aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. A bit thin. Light orange, a hint of caramel sponge cake, lemon, light wood, not much in the way of bitterness. Fine.

Aroma: floral hops, honey, caramel and bread malts. Appearance: clear light gold, small frothy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: turning more bitter, light malty notes again, average-long finish. Overall: nice Golden Ale, pint at the Horniman at Hay’s, London Bridge.
