COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also available bottled.
We brew Wandle Ale using traditional methods and materials sourced locally from English producers. We are proud to use Maris Otter malt from Warminster Maltings, one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. We use a combination of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops varieties, together with the more modern Boadicea hedgerow variety to flavour our beers. All of the hops used in the brewing process are whole leaf which give Wandle its distinctive hoppy taste and aroma. At 3.8% abv Wandle Ale is a well balanced thirst quenching session ale.

0.5 l bottle with 4.2% alcohol from local supermarket. Orange colour and small head. Well, this has a light taste. Very easy to drink in great amounts if you wish. Didn’t have any impression on me, though.

Cask at Draft House Charlotte. It pours a copper colour, low white head. Moderate aroma of malts and toffee. Smooth moderately malty flavour, not sweet though, hints of nuts in the finish, low bitterness. Decent

500 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma is mild malt with hint of fruit. Flavor is also mild, sweet, quite smooth malt, kind of fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body and medium aftertaste, a bit more bitterness maybe. Quite plain and straight forward bitter.

Bottle. A clear golden beer with a small off-white head. Quite boring aroma and flavor, not much going on, neither hops nor malts. Fruityness and some biscuits. Medium body, quite dry. Pretty bitter towards the end. I’m still surprised too see all these boring beers churned out from the English breweries. 131019

A mid golden yellow coloured beer with a frothy but weak white head. A light, biscuity malt aroma, with hints of oat and corn, plus a background fruit hop smell. Dry mouthfeel. A light, yet distinctive, dry malt taste, packed with cereal flavours, then a slightly grassy, hop flavour comes through to add a balanced bitterness. A very quaffable, dry and malty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
