We brew Wandle Ale using traditional methods and materials sourced locally from English producers. We are proud to use Maris Otter malt from Warminster Maltings, one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. We use a combination of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops varieties, together with the more modern Boadicea hedgerow variety to flavour our beers. All of the hops used in the brewing process are whole leaf which give Wandle its distinctive hoppy taste and aroma. At 3.8% abv Wandle Ale is a well balanced thirst quenching session ale.

Bottle at home, from ABM, 01/06/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a well appointed off white head that soon dissipates to a covering. Nose is bready malts, Enlgish hops, light caramel and biscuit notes, fruit peel. Taste comprises much the same, light floral and vanilla. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, moderate bitterings in the close. Ok bitter, definately better on cask as you would expect.

(bottle, Sambrooks Wandle, 4.2% abv) Clear, deep golden colour with a short off-white foamy layer. Slightly biscuity cara-malty aroma with delicately woody and subtle citric hoppy notes. Slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a tame carbonation. Slim cara-malt character with mildly fruity and woody hops; slim and slightly sweet malty finish with shy hoppy notes and a touch of caramel. Easy-going brew, nothing special. 16.IV.14

Classic one with some spices and mild hops. Drinkable, slightly quaffy and thin bodied. Not a bad one but quite average.

Fruits, hay and grains in the aroma. Golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Light body with a average carbonation. Overall a nice, but maybe a bit boring bitter.

Bottle from S-market Kemi. Hazy amber beer with completely disappearing head. Sweetish malty aroma has some ryeish notes with fruits and hay. Flavor is light maltiness, fruits and hay. Some might say a boring beer. Certainly not very exciting but not bad.

a bit light in taste and length. this beer also displays too present barley to really enjoy it as a thirst beer. the appearance is satisfying for an english ale.
