3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pears, peaches, bananas, and wheat with a whiff of alcohol in the aroma. Opaque orange- brown with thin white head that recedes to ring. Intensely sweet fruit flavours with some wheat bite and a light sourness compounding the bitterness in the finish. Light refreshing body with engaging carbonation that prickles the tongue. Odd, interesting and not at all what I was expecting. Sampled at the Extreme Beer Festival 2005.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
BCTC 08. Pours a hazy golden/amber with a medium creamy white head that laced. Aroma was kind of cereal like, lots of wheat with a touch of some banana/clove/citrus. Flavor was a match, maybe more yeast in the flavor. I wasn’t too impressed.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft @ BCTC. Pours a bright, hazy, golden-orange-amber color; creamy off-white head with excellent fine-bubbled lacing and retention. Lots of candy sugar, passion fruit, and sweetness in the aroma; singular. Medium mouthfeel: sweet candy sugar, apples, and basic sweet maltiness; bland, one-dimensional, and too sweet. Very disappointing. Medium finish: candy sugar, candy; again, lots of lasting sweetness throughout.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drainpour #2 at BCTC, and a sad one at that as I was really looking forward to this. They really must have blown this batch. Aroma is big apple juice with a touch of wheat. The sweetness kind of reminds me of Stille Nacht, but unlike that beer it has no complexity and no polish. Weak, kind of chewy, cheesy, wine grape flavor, very cloying. Blech.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap, BCTC 2008. Pours a cloudy amber body with a small fizzy head. The nose is very buttery with lots of wheat, yeast, and to a lesser extent fruity esters. The flavor just seemed really off to me. Cooked veggies with heavy alcohol, tons of sweetness, and spoiled wheat. Full bodied with fizzy carbonation, rather sticky. This one just didn’t seem right to me. I’m shocked that people liked this.
