Dark cherry color pour with a fluffy head. Aroma of light malt and tart cherries. Flavor of tart fruit and yeast. A bit sweet and artificial tasting, but really not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle from Julio’s.
Appearance : Clear pink/red with a small head.
Aroma : Lots of cherries, sweet and intense cherries. Not much else.
Taste : Sweet cherries, light astringency. Finish sweet cherries. Note of cherry stones.
Overall : Definitely a fruit beer. Should not call itself a kriek. No sourness nor tartness whatsoever. Taste is more like marasquino cherries than fresh natural cherries. Candy-ish.

toast, citrus, cough drop, amber, medium sweetness, light body, thin feel, lively, the cherry flavor was not quite as strong as some cough syrups I have had but it was rather pleasant and this kreik was light, this is one flavored beer I would recommened to a friend

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle brought back to St. Louis by a buddy of mine who works for Sam Adams. Pours a cloudy orange-red color and a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet cherries, sweet caramel malts, faint oak, sugar, and toast. Flavor is also dominated by cherry and malt sweetness, with the oak notes taking more of a back seat. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, malty mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Pretty cool but I would have liked a little more tartness or funk to the cherries instead of just sweetness.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
OK, I graded this a 5. Well, it is. The aroma is cherries - totally and throughout. The head is slight off white and the lacing is minimal. The color is orange cherry. The taste is cherries with a sourness that is appropriate with a dry aftertaste. The malt comes through but it is attentuated by the cherries. It is beyond a doubt what it says to is an American Kriek. Perhaps the beer loving world needs a new category. Enjoyed in a rimless crystal wine glass on Boxing Day.

Extremely interesting and full-tasting beer. Cherries are rounded by the oak and the beer drinks nicely as an aperitivo or digestivo. Well done, again.
