COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams American Kriek: The intense black cherry character in this beer comes from Balaton cherries, which were discovered in Hungary and are now grown in Michigan. These special cherries are prized for their depth of flavor. The tartness from the cherries is balanced by a rich, malty character with toasted oak notes added from the barrel aging.

Surprisingly good, and a major improvement from the "Only-in-summer" Cherry Wheat. Delightful nose, gentle to the palate and very flavorful without being cloying, id put this beer on my Thanksgiving table--but only at my end.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange ruby with medium off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is cherry pith and oak. Thin mouth, jammy, cherry skin, grain, oak, light finish, good.

On tap at extreme beer fest 2016. Ruby color with light pink head. Aroma is medicinal cherry, nutty, and bread. Taste is lightly tart and very sweet. A bit slick on the palate and not great.

A dark browny red with a nice head. Aroma is sour cherries. A sour taste with a hint of belgian yeast that gives way to sweet cherries. This is a big strong beer.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Dark red-brown in colour with a rich tart red fruity flavour, dried fruit and burnt toffee flavours followed by almond and cherry on the bitter-sweet, dry finish.

Just ok scent, but excellent deep red color. Nice strong cherry flavor on the front, and very solid after taste

Bottle, and a fancy one indeed, with cork top and metal retainer. Beautiful deep red color. Overall disappointing however. Slightly sweet, but very tart. Very unbalanced for a SA product. Baseline hop and caramel corporate SA base is overwhelmed by aroma and flavors of tart cherries. Nice bottle, which I will save for display, but I wont buy this one again.
