COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

Bottle:   Golden, slight haze, huge sudsy white head, a bit dishwater like, some clumpy lacing.   Fairly strong tropical fruit nose, as well as pale bready/yeasty notes.   Rather spicy and fruity on the tongue.   Bready/yeasty notes as well.   Not has heavy or mealy as other examples, which is very welcomed!   Body and mouthfeel are full.   Sweet bready finish, with soft tropical fruit and floral notes.   The nose on this really has it... caught me off guard not thinking this would be that good.   I don’t think too many American breweries can say they have as good of an aroma as Sam Adams.   I do wish it were a bit more vibrant on the tongue tho.   Still above my expectations tho!

750 ml cool looking bottle, as pictured here. Pours clear new-penny copper-gold with a large off-white pillowy head with excellent retention; lacework sheets the glass. Aroma consists of clove, creamed corn, banana. Taste is sweet, meaty, fruity, tripel-y. Finishes dry and lightly bitter. Carbonation is medium-high with a full body. Tasty.

JFURYCAT (1079) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Lovely flowery aroma and sweet taste with a malty candy profile that is well balanced by the belgian yeast and spicy character. body a bit wet for my liking and with it had more oak character, seems a bit fresh right now. But a joy to drink. Sam Adams is doing it lately!

Bottle. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex tropical citrus, wood and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer.

Elwood (3027) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Serving: Bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy deep gold color with a large white head. The nose has a slight metallic note, some apple, and Belgian yeast. The flavor has a little tropical fruit, spice, and candy sugar. Light body with high carbonation. The alcohol is well hidden. I have to say, it’s pretty good.

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Pours a pretty gold with a voluminous, fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy with grape skins, tropical fruit, yeast notes and sweet malt. Taste is spicy up front with more tropical fruit notes, candied fruit, sweet malt, grassy hops, soft booze, and yeast. Body is medium with a strong, prickly carbonation. Ends with more spicy notes, dusty yeast, tropical fruit, ripe fruits soaked in booze, grass and flowery notes.

HogTownHarry (6042) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - OCT 10, 2012
January 6, 2012 - with blankboy, garthicus, gregclow, jerc & mabel. My (really?? I don’t remember bringing this) 750ml corked & caged bottle. Bottle #1251. Hazy orange-gold with a huge fizzy/fluffy white/off-white head (4-). Not much aroma - light wheat, with banana and pear, mild spice. Taste is sweet and fruity, a watery and overly sweet and simple attempt at a triple. Syrupy, slick, good carbonation, quick-finishing .... not offensive, just overly simple - did not mind drinking it, but does not make me forget Westmalle by any stretch.
