Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

750 ml bottle into chalice, 2012 vintage. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice foamy lacing clings to the glass, with a nice amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of banana, lemon, pear, pepper, clove, floral, earth, candi sugar, oak, light bubblegum, and yeast spiciness. Damn nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity; very inviting. Taste of apple, pear, banana, pineapple, pepper, clove, bubblegum, earth, floral, oak, candi sugar, and yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, pepper, clove, bubblegum, floral, herbal, earth, and yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of flavors, with a nice malt/spiciness balance; and zero cloying flavors present on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly slick, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent tripel style. Very nice flavor complexity and balance; and very smooth to sip on. Really enjoyed this one.

Pours a hazy golden color. Smells of spices, yeast, and tropical fruit. Nice foamy, slowly dissipating head with slight lacing. Taste is of spiciness at beginning and end, mixed with fruits. Particularly banana and guava. Clean finish. Pretty tasty.

[Bottle] Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is huge fruit punch. Lychee, apricots, sprite. Taste is very similar with some peaches and canned pears as well. A little thin, good finish length. Alcohol quite well hidden. Overall, I really liked the flavor profile of this, and I thought it was nicely done.

pours a pale darker golden with a huge white head. This beer is full of flavors, there are tropical fruit flavors and sour fruit also, there is some floral tastes and it is slightly tart. This beer ends up with a bit of bitterness and some pepper.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is yeast and pepper. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and honey with light dry finish. A very good Tripel from Sam Adams.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of frothy off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent golden brown colored body. The funky aroma was citrus malty and fruity. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of bubbly citrus mild funk and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Pours a nice golden color with a frothy pillowy head. May have been the glass but mine kept rising above the rim for a few minutes after pouring. Smells of pear, apricot, cherries, orange peel. Very fruity taste. Notes of pear, citrus fruit, apricot and cherries. Very good triple. This is one of my favorite styles and Sam Adams does it justice......

Cloudy golden orange, big spongy white head. Aroma is very tropical, with loads of pineapple, tangerine, and other citrus fruits. Hints of black pepper, as well. Taste is fruity, tropical, with more pineapple and citrus. Peppery, hoppy finish. Good stuff...
