3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate clove, banana, bubblegum, light vanilla, and faint oak. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a three finger orange tinged off-white head that lasts a minute or so before it fades to a thin film. There is some spotty lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate banana, candi sugar, and a touch of apple. The finish has light-moderate clove and light vanilla. Itís medium bodied with lively (but not prickly) carbonation. Overall, this is the beer from the Barrel Collection that I wanted to try the least. However, in my opinion, itís the best of the bunch.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours with a clear orange to golden hued body with a foamy, medium sized white head with good retention. Aromas are of tropical fruit, dry and herbaceous hop character. Light caramel, light isoamyl acetate, pear, vanillin and mild phenol. Flavors are dry and lightly tannic, some cotton candy like caramelization flavors, medium-low vanillin, tropical fruit, saw dust, mild ester. Light corked flavor. Very dry finish. Mild phenolics. Very lively carbonation, bone dry and nicely warming.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750, custom capsule, corked and baled. And tagged with a little brochure that I didnít open. Pours a crystal clear medium amber with bright golden edges, tons of nucleation columns, and a nice white head that settles a little too quickly. Very pretty beer, especially when first poured. And it doesnít go all over the counter, which is nice. Sweet green apples and cream nose--a little bit too cloying to be great, but certainly itís on point for the style. Creamy medium body with lively if not rambunctious carb. Sweet cream and green apple mid palate. A very pleasant tripel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted next to New Belgium Trippel and Victory Golden Monkey Tripel. Certainly different than the other two Belgian style Tripels of the night. Reminds me a bit more of Tripel Karmeliet more than any other of this style that Iíve had. Still itís a bit different due to its barrel aging. Pour is a hazy golden orange. Big fluffy off white head that coats the glass pretty well but fades eventually. This beer has a bunch of carbonation. Nose is of orange peel, wood barrel, and pale malt. Some tropical fruit as well. Taste is a bit boozy. Alcohol comes through as does the wood. Thereís a bunch of spiced fruit. Clove. Cinamin. Rich and long lasting flavor. Great beer. Would be hard to drink one of these big bottles alone however. Well done. Very interesting and worth seeking out. A bit pricey but thereís a lot of beer here.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pours clear golden with a large white head. Smells fruity, yeasty, and has hints of spices. Taste is tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, some honey sweetness, and very subtle clove. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and fair mouth-carbonation, Samuel Adams New World Tripel finishes a little sweet and a little spicy.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Sam Adams Boston. Delish! Sip sip sip. Funky Belgian yeast in this unfiltered beauty. Taste is of alcohol warming, tropical fruit floral hops. All in very upfront with complexity lingering. Loved this.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bright golden pour with big frothy head. Aroma is strong fruit and yeast. Flavor is crisp fruit, balanced hop to malt flavor, and a soft mouthfeel. Finish is shockingly smooth with zero bitterness or edge. Excellent tripel.
