2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Orange golden. A tiny bit sour, but citrusy, malty, thin and astringent. Better than Sam Adams lager, but not very good for a supposed special brew.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Transparent rich gold, puffy white head, heavy lace. Heavy honey, grain, cardboard, bit green and plant like. Flavor is dirty, heavy bubblegum esters, high carbonation, honey. Too sticky, carbonation higher, fruit not emerging, just sweetness and green notes.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle... dark gold with a bit of orange, medium clarity, off white head, thin cap is left, no lace... sweet very generic aroma that I’m not a fan of, lots of honey, tropical fruits, passion fruit and mango, sweet yeast, a bit of oak, ok, not on of the style, not digging it... the taste is off for the style and from the aroma, way over carbonated giving a terrible palate, big yeast finish and through out, only a bit of oak and flowers besides the yeast... not very good

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle probably courtesy of butters, but we’re not aure, ’cause he left. Orange, slighltly hazy, small white lace. Nose is more saaz and hoppy than any kind of spice. Light brett, ryan doesn’t say so, but some other stuff too.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the DC gathering at GT’s place. Clear golden pour with good white head. This was actually good example of style. Clean and very crisp and efferevescent. Belgian yeast, spices. Nicely done.

FOBAB 2011 (bottle). Outstanding sweet/dry balance. Complex fruit and spice notes. One of the most complex beers I had at the festival and probably one of the best.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a nice white fluffy head with good lacing. Belgian yeast, sweet fruity spices, some apricot aroma fill the senses. Taste of sweet fruity spices, Belgian yeast some light citrusy hops and a light oaked flavor. Palate is a nice crisp medium body creamy with some light carbonation, almost champagne like. Finish is sweet fruity spice notes, some Belgian yeast with a distinct oak barrel flavor and sweet dry ending. Overall a very good complex and flavorful brew. Very nicely done.
